Sterling Silver St Brigid’s Cross Pendant
This cross is made of Sterling silver and comes on an 18″ Sterling silver chain.
Saint Brigid of Ireland was a founding patron of the Christian church in Ireland and was one of the first Irish Saints. A few years after Saint Patrick arrived in Ireland, a little girl named Brigid was born. Legend has it that she wove her first cross from rushes that covered the floor of her home. The rush cross has been the symbol of Saint Brigid ever since. Â Her feast day, the date of her death is February 1st. Every year on her feast day, Irish people place a St. Brigid’s Cross, made of rushes over the front door in their house to protect and bless all those that pass under it over the coming year.
