High Cross of Moone Celtic Cross
The celtic cross, High Cross Of Moone, Co. Kildare stands over 17.5 feet high and it carries 51 sculptured panels of scriptural scenes. Unlike other crosses The Cross of Moone was lost for centuries, buried and in pieces. The capstone of the cross is still missing. It was put together many years later by members of the same family that found the first piece of the cross.
