Sterling silver with 18K gold Tara brooch. This brooch is modeled on the original Tara Brooch, now displayed in the National Musuem of Ireland in Dublin. Believed to date back to around 700AD, the Tara Brooch is the most impressive Irish brooch ever discovered.  It is now recognized as one of the most important works of early Christian Irish Insular art. This medium size brooch measures approx. 29.9mm wide by 24mm high. Handmade in Ireland and hallmarked at the Assay Office in Dublin Castle.
